windshield washer fluid pump

can anyone tell me where the sensor is for the windshield washer fluid level? is it inside the pump? is ther any way for me to test it (i.e) proper voltage? please let me know

I'd like to know also. My sensor has never worked that i know of, though the pump did go out a few years ago and I had to replace it. I don't think the sensor is in the pump, but I can't think of anywhere else it would be.

I may be way off base here but the Cadillac i'm taring apart 93 caddy fleetwood elgance, has the level sensor in the res tank, near the pump
