Nice work ! Let me ask, could you have clocked the calipers to the front of the rotors and left the sway bar alone ? I realize this would have meant some reworking of the brake lines and cables but the adapter appears to be clockable... then maybe switch sides with the calipers... left to right, right to left... its not all infront of me so I cant see it.

For me sacrificing the rear bar for discs would be a serious downgrade. You have also altered your handling further buy changing your rear track 1", not sure what effect that would have. Sways bars serve much more purpose than just racing, they work all the time for regular driveing cornering.

Trust me i tried that!!! its like if swaybar isnt in the way then flip it the other way around and the bolt is unable to go in cuz it hits the balljoint crap.
i will just bolt the rear swaybar back up then. get new endlinks and just unbolt it every time i have to change the pads which wont be to often so no biggie. i didnt think the small rear swaybar did much. aparently it does more then i think!

yes and it balances with the heavier front, there is some science to it which I dont claim to know but too much or too little rear bar changes over/under steer. But the way they function is more or less as weight is taken off the inside wheel in a corner it presses down harder on the outside wheel giveing more spring pressure to that side all the weight and pressure has shifted to... something like that :)

rear bars are just smaller because there is much less weight back there and the steer tires also take more dive pressure, still they are important in the balance of a car and that is after all a grand touring car.

Job well done anyhow and you may be the first to successfully put rear discs on a H body.

I have the rear axle out of my Ciera wagon and plan to look into adapting the Uvan rear discs before reassembly, Uvan uses same chassis componets as A body. Maybe I'll find something similiar there that might work on H.

A bodies never had rear sway bars and trust me they are not the car a H body is.

Actually i think the admin of this site put discs on his but if i remember right he had to do some welding and hadnt got the ebrake working? i havnt heard since. but with this way, all you have to do is have someone machine the plate down that you grind off the riviera and bam it bolts right on making it a simple swap

T did do the rear disc conversion but the way he did it he said it was not worth the trouble, are you gonna do a write up for this?

I know T did it but I was thinking it was incomplete or had bugs that needed working out. I would not be surprised to find theres way to adapt later W discs too which I believe are superior. Definantly want to stay away from 1st gen W what a PITA but thats living in the north driving in the winter.
