I'm pretty sure my problems are coming from the rear end. Thanks for the info and pictures stevex!!!! Where could I/we procure some of those heavy duty L-brackets and/or high perf. sway bars? On a related note: How difficult is it to install struts? Does it require any special tools or techniques? I...

While I'm not sure of the source of my own cars clunking, I know it began after I installed the strut tower brace and loaned the car to my brother for a month.

Somehow related I'm sure.

Why don't you just buy some stereo capacitors, they store power for the stereo so it doesn't dim your lights etc.

You install them inline between your amps and the power source.

Optima batteries are awesome too though and well worth the money you'll spend.

I have the same clunking, been driving on it for quite awhile but I'm sure it's the struts. Wouldn't be the motor mounds I had those replaced not that long ago.

Something else to check would be the sway bar mounts I hear they do similar things.

I've used alpine tweets up there and they sound great firing off the windsheild.

As for door speakers you can make a spacer and get 6 1/2's in there without a lot of fuss. If you're worried about the spacers causing rattle slap some dynamat on both sides of it.

Infinity 6x9's sound awesome btw.

The body is completely stock, to complete the SS clone look it would need the front and rear spoilers. The exterior color, the motor, the trans, the rims and the painless wiring setup would the the only non-stock things. It's going to be a project just getting all the pieces I have for it together. T...

I'm about 20 miles south of LA. I'm selling everything because I need to get out of debt and get a new car. The T will be the last to go because it is my daily driver, but it's going to need more work than I have the time to put into it. I'll probably sell it for $500 or so. I bought the Elky from a...

There is also a place down here in So Cal called Classic Industries; you can pretty much build the car from their catalog. They've got catalogs specifically for the camaro, firebird, nova, full size and trucks.

my coolant has been leaking for over a year now, it's a bit expensive but I just keep a gallon of it in the car at all times. I just don't have the time or money to fix it yet. Anyhow if it's leaking, can you see it leak and where it drips from? Look at the radiator hoses and see if they are wet. Ch...

As I read this post the question that resounded in my mostly empty head the most was "WHAT THE F*($(*$ does TTT stand for?!?!?!" Well, it just goes to show you should read up till the end before freaking out.

Anyhow I'd be interested but I can't afford shipping.

Harmonic balancer is LOUD when it goes bad, good way to check it is to see if you can move the serpentine belt by hand, it shouldn't move at all and if it does then you need a new balancer. Check the water pump, when it starts to go bad it rattles. Timing chain also rattles when it goes bad. These a...
