WTB: 87 Lesabre Radio and possibly T-Type Rims

When my car broke down last week somebody was nice enough to jack my aftermarket CD player out of my Lesabre. I'm looking for just a cheap factory radio to put back in if anyone has one available. Also, when the idiot stole my stereo he also tore apart the trim pieces that go around the radio and cl...

I finally fixed the problem. I replaced my spark plugs and fuel filter since I had them lying around, when I attempted to start the car after that I heard this somewhat loud clicking sound coming from the engine bay. I looked around into the engine while cranking it and noticed that one of the spark...

My 87 currently has the 3 individual delco coil packs and I think they are going downhill and will be replacing them soon. Can I replace them with the single Magnavox unit. My only reason is that the Mangavox is about $20 cheap than replacing all three individual delco units.

Actually that wasn't my post about replacing the coil pack, although the problems are similar. Zerex, my problem sounds awefully similar to yours. I seem to have the most trouble when it's raining, I thought it was just bad luck. The car doesn't actually start, I had trouble phrasing my previuos pos...

OK, I had the car towed back to my place. Now it will not start at all. At best it will start for a second or two and stall out. I wouldn't really call it starting though as it just putts once or twice and shuts off. So, I'm picking up a new fuel pump this weekend and plan to do the fuel pump, fuel ...

OK, on my way to work this morning and the car died on the highway. I dropped it into nuetral and tried to start it up again while drifting in morning rush hour traffic. Started and stalled right away. So I drift off to the side of the road. Once the car is parked I tried to start it up again. At fi...

Going back to the maf idea... How exactly would I drive with the maf unplugged? I tried to unplug it once during idle and the car imediatly shut off. Was that just a coincidence, is it possible to drive with the maf unplugged to test if that's still the cause? Here's what I noticed over the past wee...

I actually have an extra set of plugs lying around so maybe I'll try swapping those out too. I didn't make it to autozone this past weekend, I had to help someone dig a ditch. Hopefully I'll make it sometime this week to pick up the fuel pressure gauge. The plug suggestion is actually a pretty good ...

Ahhh... forgot about that loaner program. I will give it a try this weekend. Is there a chart or something to follow regarding what pressures I should see at various engine speeds and at idle?

Rust shouldn't be a problem. The car only has 70K miles on it and although the paint is fading horribly, when I looked under the car it looked rust free. I guess I'll invest in a fuel pressure gauge. Any recomendations as to a cheap one?

calenatar, that would have been my next guess. It doesn't look like a new fuel pump is to expensive so maybe I'll just go ahead and go down that route. I just don't get why the problem goes away with a replacement MAF then all of a sudden comes back after a day or two. So how hard is it to replace t...

What exactly should I look for when checking the wiring? I'm on my third, dead, MAF now and need a solution. What can I look for that would be killing these MAFs? If I take it to a dealer would they be able to diagnose something like this and give me a better answer than a bad MAF? Please help, I'm ...

Need some suggestions... The MAF I got under warranty has been working wonderfully for a couple days. Although just today the problem came back, not as bad as before, but it came back none the less. Before it got any worse I had them swap out the MAF again and the problem went away, again! Now that ...

Thanks for the replies guys. I returned the MAF under it's 1 year warranty, threw the new one in while I was in the parking lot and bingo, everything is running great. Thankfully that's all it was, I barely made it to the store to pick up the new MAF.

Hesitation/bucking on highway

I recently replaced my MAF due to idle issues. For a little history check this thread: http://www.lesabret.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=3379 Anyway, since I replaced the MAF I have noticed some strange hesitation or bucking on the highway. I'll be cruising along anywhere between 35-75 MPH and all of a ...
