Re: Socket Size for Crankshaft Pulley Bolt

28mm socket. Like T said you will need extension's to extend thru the wheel well. I used a 4 foot pipe for leverage (on the end of a 1/2 in rachet) and clamped a set of vice grips on the fly wheel. Worked well and you might not need to use a puller. I had to replace a bad balancer on my old engine a...

Hell yeah man start pulling them if they are in that good of condition. They are gold. Only problem is shipping to out of state location, gets costly. ;)

Re: Dashpad Options

I drive mine without a pad right now. It is a formed plastic under the pad and doesn't look all to bad, but I would like to get some kind of pad. I have been looking at dash covers but I don't know how cheesey it would look. Finding a good dash pad is not easy. ;)

Front End Bra

Does anyone know where to get a bra for an 88 T. I have been looking for sometime with no luck. I do a lot of over the road driving and it has eaten up my frontend. Looks like a sandblaster got to it. Plan on painting this summer and I will need something to protect the front of my car. :-? B :btt:

Re: Where Is the Ignition Knock Sensor!!!

It is located on left side of the block (firewall side) behind the oil filter extension, above the exhaust manifold. You can't see it from the top but you can feel for it by following the wiring harness that runs down to the oil switch sensor (located on top of the filter extension), the lead for th...

CRUISE CONTROL

Anyone out there know anything about cruise controls. Since I do a lot of over the road driving in my T it would be nice to get my CC working. Where do I start checking beside the fuse (already checked)? :-?

Re: my 87 t type

Had the same problem couple of years ago after my 88 sat for a year. Ended up being the Coil pack itself. It developed corrosion between the top and bottom section's. I don't know if the 87's have the same coil pack! If you have a coil pack that spilts top and bottom check for corrosion.
